and a reason to hope for a brighter future

What is Covered By Hope?

Covered By Hope started as a dream to share life-changing stories...

Stories of every day women who have found hope and inspiration.

To help tell that story, we sell hand-poured goat milked soaps, soy candles, and other unique products that are made by our Covered by Hope team - graduates of the Hope House, a home and place of healing for women survivors of trauma and addiction.

These amazing women also manage the marketing, sales, and product development of Covered by Hope - building skills and learning the value of entrepreneurialism every day!

Our Beginnings...

In January 2019 graduates of Hope House came together to start a business. Under the guidance of Laura Whyte, they started a small business named “Covered by Hope."

The idea was to share stories of hope, resiliency, and recovery.

We've had an amazing first year with opportunities to speak at Northside Hospital’s International Women’s Day Luncheon and Cape Breton’s Prayer Breakfast, as well as many other community groups.

To date, we sell our products in 8 stores and in dozens of community markets throughout the year. We have big plans to expand, with new products and new adventures, and so many more amazing stories to tell!

All of the proceeds made by Covered by Hope go directly towards employing graduates of the Hope House and supporting the operational costs of the home!
